Terms of Service

Last updated: March 22, 2026

1. Service Description

ShipKeeper, LLC (“ShipKeeper,” “we,” “us”) provides shipping protection services for packages shipped by our partner merchants. When you purchase from a ShipKeeper partner, your shipment is automatically enrolled in our protection program.

2. Eligibility

ShipKeeper protection is available for shipments that meet the following criteria:

  • Shipped via a carrier that provides delivery confirmation (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or equivalent)
  • Tracked within the ShipKeeper system prior to any claim
  • Domestic shipments within the United States (international coverage may vary)

3. Coverage

ShipKeeper covers the following events during shipment:

  • Lost packages: Packages that do not arrive and carrier tracking does not show a delivery confirmation
  • Damaged items: Items that arrive in damaged condition due to shipping
  • Stolen packages: Packages confirmed delivered by the carrier but not received by the customer

Coverage does not extend to: items damaged before shipment, normal wear and tear, incorrect orders, product quality complaints, or items shipped via carriers without delivery confirmation.

4. Claims Process

To file a claim, you must:

  • Have the shipment tracked in the ShipKeeper system before the claim is filed
  • File the claim within 30 days of the expected delivery date
  • Provide accurate information about the shipment and the issue
  • For theft claims over $25: provide a police report number

All claims are reviewed by our team. The review process takes up to 7 business days. We may request additional information during the investigation. ShipKeeper reserves the right to deny claims that show indicators of fraud or misrepresentation.

5. Fraud Prevention

ShipKeeper employs fraud detection measures including carrier delivery verification, claim history analysis, and cross-referencing of tracking data. Filing a fraudulent claim is a violation of these terms and may result in:

  • Denial of the current and all future claims
  • Termination of your ShipKeeper account
  • Referral to law enforcement if appropriate

6. Billing

ShipKeeper protection may be provided free of charge as part of a partner merchant subscription. If the partner subscription ends, ShipKeeper protection continues during a 32-day grace period. After the grace period, protection continues at $9.99 per month. You may cancel at any time from your ShipKeeper dashboard.

7. Limitation of Liability

ShipKeeper's liability for any approved claim is limited to the declared value of the item or the claim amount, whichever is less. ShipKeeper is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of ShipKeeper after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
